Chief Executive Officer
Peter is the Chief Executive Officer at Thunes. Under his leadership, Thunes has transformed into a world-leading fintech that powers payments for the world’s fastest-growing businesses.
Peter drives Thunes through rapid business and geographical expansion, challenging the status quo for cross-border payments. Previously, he was CEO of Payments at Naspers and also Ogone (now Ingenico ePayments). -
Kian Bin Teo
Chief Financial Officer
KB, who is a CFA Charterholder, leads our Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Compliance and Strategy departments, to ensure that our operations are robust. Prior to joining Thunes, KB was Chief Financial Officer for various technology companies in China and also worked as an investment banker for 10 years.

Mike Raath
Chief Technology Officer
Mike is the Chief Technology Officer at Thunes. He leads our Technology divisions, to ensure that we deliver a robust platform with strong support for customers as they integrate with us. Mike is an experienced technology executive with previous roles at Fox Networks Asia and Naspers portfolio companies (DStv and Showmax).

Chloé Mayenobe
Chief Operating Officer
A seasoned tech leader Chloé has a wealth of expertise in transforming and scaling payments firms. Her experience includes executive operational and transformational leadership positions. Most recently, she served as COO of fintech unicorn Solaris Group. Prior to this, she was holding leadership roles at Natixis Payments and Ingenico Group.

Matt van Geldere
Chief People Officer
As Thunes’ Chief People Officer, Matt plays a key role in recruiting, developing, and nurturing top talent from around the world, as well as building a scalable HR operating model to support Thunes’ rapid growth.
He is a seasoned HR executive and transformation expert, with more than 20 years’ international professional experience across the digital advertising and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Thunes, Matt held different global and regional HR and transformation leadership roles at Criteo and Easynet Global Services.

Irina Chuchkina
Chief Marketing Officer
Irina is the Chief Marketing Officer at Thunes, and an accomplished fintech and technology marketer. Before joining Thunes, Irina led Global Brand & Communications at Rapyd, headed Partner Marketing at Southeast Asia’s #1 super-app Grab, and spent eight years with Visa, where she led marketing projects across CEMEA and APAC.
Irina has an MBA from INSEAD, and serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Singapore Fintech Association.

Bogdan Dinu
Chief Product Officer
Bogdan Dinu has more than 15 years of international experience in technology and product management. Prior to Thunes, Bogdan worked with global companies such as PayU, Ingenico and Nike where he was responsible for the payment experience as well as product innovation. He is an expert in building business and consumer products across different markets by leveraging technology. Bogdan holds an MBA from the Amsterdam Business School.

Aik-Boon has been with Thunes since 2006 and is now the Chief Business Development Officer focusing on leading the company’s global sales and growth plans. AB holds an engineering degree from Monash University in Australia and an MBA from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.

Christophe is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned technology executive. He joined Thunes through the acquisition of Limonetik, a startup he co-founded in 2007. He now leads Thunes New Ventures team.

Jenny Lee
Managing Partner, GGV Capital
Jenny Lee is a Managing Partner at GGV Capital. She helped to set up GGV Capital’s first office in China in 2005, and its Singapore office in 2019.
Jenny’s previous operation and finance work experience with ST Aerospace, Morgan Stanley, and JAFCO Asia enhanced her role as a preferred board mentor and investor to many entrepreneurs in China.
Jenny graduated from Cornell University with a Masters and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Sunil Sabharwal has spent more than two decades as a board member and C-suite executive for global companies including GE Capital, First Data Corporation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and Coopers & Lybrand. He has also invested in, and worked with, leading global fintech corporations such as European payment services company Ogone (now part of Ingenico), Paysafe, and IRIS Analytics.

Ali Mazanderani has years of experience in leading landmark fintech investments globally, and heading strategy in banks. A fintech investor and entrepreneur, Ali co-founded and currently serves as chairman of Salt Pay.

Fope Adelowo
Co-Founder, Helios Investment Partners
Fope Adelowo co-leads the fintech practice and Venture Capital at Helios, one of the largest African focused private Investment firms with nearly $4billion under management. Fope has over 15 years of experience; prior to Helios, she worked in the Principal Investment Group of Cardinal Stone Partners in Lagos and served in several roles in the Emerging Markets Structured Products team at Goldman Sachs in London. She has also worked at Boston Consulting Group and Jumia, an e-commerce company in Africa. Fope serves on the Board of Directors of TPAY Mobile and Thunes, and is a Board Observer on the Boards of Interswitch Nigeria Limited and Paymob. Fope is a mentor and member of the Screening Committee of Techstars Nigeria (2022) She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MEng from Imperial College London where she graduated with a first class.

Nikhil Sachdev is a Managing Director at Insight Partners where he invests in companies in the software and fintech sectors starting at the Series A and well beyond. Nikhil joined Insight in 2016 and is based in San Francisco, CA.
Prior to joining Insight, Nikhil was a Partner at Altimeter Capital, a technology focused public and private hedge fund. He began his career at Goldman Sachs (technology investment banking) and Bain Capital (private equity).
Nikhil is a graduate of Stanford University (BA Honors, Economics) and Harvard Business School (MBA).
