Receive Money Directly to your Mobile from Australia with Vodafone M-PAiSA

 


Vodafone Fiji has teamed up with TransferTo,a leading B2B Cross-Border Payments Network, to provide international
digital money transfer services into Fiji from Australia. This will allow
Vodafone M-PAiSA users in Fiji to receive money sent by family and friends
living in Australia directly to their mobile phones.
Thousands of former Fiji residents,
migrant workers and professional athletes living in Australia, who regularly
send money home to their families in Fiji, will now be able to experience
this
revolutionary service which will benefit thousands of families in Fiji.

 is received in inward remittances

text message will also be sent to the recipient confirming the receipt of the
money in their M-PAiSA account. 

 

The service is being launched in
Australia and is expected to shortly expand into New Zealand, followed by the
USA and Canada. Those receiving money via this medium do not need a bank
account to use this service. The money sent from overseas is received in Fijian
dollars directly into their M-PAiSA account on the mobile phone. The recipient is
then able use the money received for payment services available through M-PAiSA
such as water and electricity bill, purchase of prepaid power, payment of banks
loans, top up their mobile phones or walk into any conveniently located M-PAiSA
outlet around the country to cash out.

been approved by the Reserve Bank of Fiji after being statisfied of the

The introduction
of this new service is a natural progression in the suite of value added services

launched by Prime Minister Bainimarama in 2010 and it is now the most widely
