TransferTo Mobile Money platform awarded Financial Inclusion Product of the Year
2 Billion Unbanked, Mobile is disrupting cash in emerging markets…
The Kalahari Awards at
the Remittance Africa Mobile Money Expo are awarded to organizations that have
made significant contributions to the mobile financial services sector by
making remittances and digital payments more accessible and more affordable in
Africa. After meeting rigorous selection requirements, TransferTo’s Mobile
Money platform has been awarded “Financial Inclusion Product of the Year”.
TransferTo offers to its
clients a secure, real-time and fully compliant cross-border mobile money
transfer service to reach unbanked and newly banked consumers in previously
untapped developing markets. In Africa
specifically, there is a compelling need for interoperability in cross-border mobile
payments. TransferTo’s Mobile Money Platform provides a dedicated, scalable and fully compliant solution
for financial institutions to connect with millions of Mobile Money accounts
worldwide via a single connection. Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
in the UK as an Authorized Payment Institution, TransferTo provides its
partners with assured compliance for all relevant regulatory standards.
Eric Barbier, TransferTo
CEO said “TransferTo’s Mobile Money platform is solving one of the main obstacles of
cross-border Mobile Money payments in Africa. By providing the rails and assisting with interoperability
and compliance issues, we are enabling Mobile Money services to flourish in
hard to reach areas of the developing world”
Emmanuel Okoegwale, Principal Associate, Mobile Money Africa
added “In evaluating the entries for the Financial Inclusion Product of
the Year, TransferTo’s Mobile Money platform was the obvious choice. They met and
